Electronics & Communication Engineering
As a branch of engineering, a course in Electronics and Communication is to impart quality technical knowledge and skills and produce well-qualified engineers in areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering, who will make qualitative difference in this field. Electronics aim at making the life of human beings comfortable. Communication brings them together. The vast application of electronics and the rapid advancements in the field of communications makes the study of this branch a coveted option. This branch lays a strong emphasis on fundamentals to facilitate students understand complex engineering subjects in an interesting and stimulating environment.
Electronics and Communication Engineering is concerned with the design, development, manufacture and application of electronic devices, circuits and systems. Electronics and Communication Engineering lays greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles and state of the art knowledge about Electronic Devices and Circuits, Computer Architecture and Microprocessors, VLSI and Embedded systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Analog and Digital Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Microwave and Broadband Communications.
The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty with a healthy student to staff ratio of 16:1. Out of which two Doctorate, seven are pursuing Ph.D and remaining are Post-Graduates. Faculty members have their credit in technical papers published in international and national journals and conferences. They are also members of several important academic bodies.
Vision of the Department“Disseminate quality technical education for achieving academic excellence with focused training and prepare professionals embodied with competence, values and research culture to meet industry and societal needs in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering”.
Mission of the DepartmentM1: Facilitate teaching- learning environment that caters to technological and societal needs.
M2: Educate students to practice multidisciplinary research for a successful career.
M3: Inculcate theoretical, practical, design and development skills necessary for lifelong learning as an individual or in a team.
